Some domains to add to your junk email filter!

Hi All.
We have been made aware of a few domains who are spamming out various junk emails like there is no tomorrow, not everyone will be affected but it seems that there are a number of emails coming from the following domains:

yousaveonlinemail14.co.uk
yousaveonlinemail15.co.uk
headsyouwinmail5.co.uk
headsyouwinmail6.co.uk

If you log on to your control panel and choose Junk Email Filters, find the reject by sender section and add in the domain names. They seem to be under investigation by their provider, but in the meantime it might be worth adding these.

Heartbleed – What Did we do

Many of you have been asking us about how we responded to the heartbleed bug which was found recently. We thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know what happened as far as our services were concerned instead of responding to you all on an individual basis.

Starter and Professional Web hosting customers may have seen a slight downtime on the Tuesday morning of the announcement while we patched out servers.

The following is a list of the branches which were and were not vulnerable to the bug.

Vulnerable:

OpenSSL versions 1.0.1 to 1.0.1f (inclusive) are vulnerable
Centos6
- Openssl-1.0.1e-15
- Openssl-1.0.1e-16.el6_5.4

Not Vulnerable

Centos6
- Openssl-1.0.1e-16.el6_5.7
OpenSSL
- 1.0.1g
- 1.0.0
- 0.9.8

If you are running a vulnerable OpenSSL version then we you should patch your servers as soon as possible and restart anything using the OpenSSL libraries.

Debian / Ubuntu: apt-get update; apt-get -y install openssl libssl1.0.0
Fedora / CentOS: yum -y update openssl

Please double check your services and your emails from us if you have a VPS solution.
SSL Certificate holders were all contacted with what to do.

Free Theme of the Week – OneTone

This week’s free theme of the week is a one page WordPress theme by the guys over at MagEEWP. Check out the demo of OneTone to see it in all it’s one page glory. Who knows if this style of page will stand the test of time, but in our opinion the who concept is great and hopefully it will be around for a lot longer! As usual we aren’t going to provide a full in-depth review for the theme, that’s entirely subjective and down to you to decide!

The theme itself is completely free to use and is fully responsive for your mobile viewers.

Free Template of the Week – NINA Theme

This week’s free template of the week is a beautiful example of a simple design executed in a really classy way! The menu background is something very cool, having each tab take a portion of the main page image really adds a touch of class. This template is a non responsive design and is free to download, also, the author has created a paid version for WordPress (which is responsive) if that is more your thing and you want to support the designer.

Free Theme of the Week – Fizz

Another Week, another free theme to check out – This week is a theme by Site5, it is 2 months shy of being a year old, but as you can see from the demo, it looks great! For the second week running we have gone with a WordPress template, but as WordPress powers a massive amount of websites, we don’t think this is a bad thing!

Free Template of the week! – MediaGroup
